Hope-Net Board of Directors

Hope-Net is a 501 c 3 charity organization. It’s Board of Directors come from several of our sponsoring congregations and the community –at-large. The Board meets monthly to provide governance and oversight, and to ensure that the agency mission is being fulfilled and that Hope-Net remains a strong, visible and effective force for good in our community.

Board Members:

Bill Ehrlich
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Bill Ehrlich earned a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo after which he spent a career building homes in Southern California.  From 2000 to 2002, Bill served as a commissioner and president of the City of Los Angeles Board of Building and Safety Commissioners. Among his philanthropic endeavors, Bill continues to serve as director of Cal Poly’s College of Architecture and Environmental Design Foundation and as a trustee and officer of Wilshire Boulevard Temple.

Walter Engler
Walt is a native of Southern California. He resides in West Los Angeles with his wife, Virginia, and their three sons.  Walt attended CSU Northridge and earned a BS in Business Administration before beginning a career as a CPA at Ernst & Young and late as the Senior Vice President of Operations at Sony Pictures Entertainment in Culver City.  Walt and his family are parishioners at Saint Monica Catholic Church in Santa Monica. He is committed to continuing the Hope-Net mission of feeding those in need.

William (Bill) Gaddy
A native of Los Angeles, Bill has resided in Larchmont Village since 1978.  Involved in construction for 28 years, Bill opened B. Gaddy Electric in 1995.  He and his wife and 2 children are active at Bel Air Presbyterian Church and appreciate the value and reward of service to others.

Floydette Gibson
Floydette has spent her professional career in consumer relations.  She is a member of Wilshire United Methodist Church, is married with two children and is committed to addressing hungeri n our local area.

Jane Gilman
Jane Gilman is editor and publisher of the Larchmont Chronicle newspaper which serves the Hancock Park, Larchmont, Miracle Mile and Park La Brea communities. She is secretary of the Larchmont Boulevard Assoc., and of the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council. She joined the Hope-Net board in 2006, and has been active as a chairman of the annual Taste of Larchmont Village fundraiser for Hope-Net since its founding in 1993.

Patricia Heaton
Patricia Heaton is an actor and community supporter. She is well-known for her role on the popular TV sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond”.  As a community resident and mother of four sons, she is vitally concerned about the quality of life of all who live in our area.

Sunta Izzicupo
Sunta has worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles for over 25 years.  Working for Twentieth Century Fox, Lorimar/Warner Brothers, the Walt Disney Company and CBS Television, she has developed and produced TV movies and mini-series.  More recently she has be3en in independent producer and writer.  Sunta lives with her son Nick in Hancock Park.

Councilmember Tom LaBonge
The Los Angeles City Councilmember from the 4th District, Tom is dedicated to making our community and all of Los Angeles a better place to live and work. As a City Councilmember, Tom is well-known for his tireless efforts to help individuals and businesses and in taking care of every aspect of our local quality of life.  Tom has been a long time supporter of Hope-Net’s Taste of Larchmont Village and is also a great help with the Taste of Los Feliz.

Jose Narciso
Jose' Narciso is an active member of the Metropolitan Community Church of Los Angeles located in West Hollywood. He was chosen to represent MCCLA as a Board of Director for Hope-Net. He owns his Consultation Business at home and is very active in all his Church's ministries. He helps initiate the very first Hope-Net Sunday to help collect food and money for the Hope-Net Ministry monthly. MCCLA delivers all the food collected to their partner Wilshire Presbyterians pantry.

Jason Niggley
Jason Niggley is currently in his third year of the PhD in Operations Management at the USC Marshall School of Business. He lives in the downtown area and attends and is actively involved with First Congregational Church of Los Angeles which is a Hope-net Food Link Partner.  Jason previously resided in Miami, Florida where he received a MBA in Quality Management at the University of Miami.  Both there and in his home town of Atlanta, Georgia, Jason has bee involved in both church and community groups focusing especially on helping the needy.

Rev. Charles Robertson
The Rev. Dr. Charles (Chuck) G. Robertson, Jr. is pastor of Wilshire Presbyterian church at 3rd Street. and Western Avenue.  Wilshire Presbyterian church operates a Hope-Net food pantry and is one of its founding congregations.  Chuck has served several years on the Hope-Net board of directors and sees this as part of his and his congregation's larger ministry.  He is currently president of the Wilshire center interfaith council and is very active in the wider Los Angeles community.

Sandra Rogers
Sandy recently returned to Hope-Net’s Board of Directors after having served for many years in the capacity of Board Secretary and President. Her full time employment is as music director and office administrator for First Baptist Church.

Jolene Snett
A resident of Hancock Park, Jolene Snett believes in making your neighborhood a better place.  She founded the Hancock Park Historic Preservation Advocacy Group to preserve the 1920s architecture of her neighborhood.  Currently, she is a board member of the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council.  With a background in journalism and public relations, Jolene is interested in closing the gap between those who go hungry in Los Angeles and their access to food.  A longtime supporter of Hope-Net, Jolene is a new member of the board.

Steve Tator
Steve began working with Hope-Net in 1996 and became a board member since 1999. He received a M.A. in Economics from UCLA.  Professionally, he has been in real estate sales with Coldwell Banker, Hancock Park since 1987.  Prior to that, he worked with NASDAQ, Inc. and the Federal Trade Commission.  Steve also volunteers with Meals on Wheels.  He resides in Hancock Park/Windsor Square, is married and has 2 children.

Gillian Wagner
Gill Wagner lives in Hancock Park with her husband and two sons and is concentrating on raising a family at the moment, while recognizing the importance of community involvement.  Gill is a member of St. James’ Episcopal Church.

Tim Wood
"Tim Wood is a local businessman and developer, and the former Chief Operating Officer of Ticketmaster.  A Los Angeles native and UCLA graduate, he and his family live in the area serviced by Hope-Net's pantries.  Tim says he is motivated daily of Hope-Net's mission to ensure that "none of our neighbors should go hungry".
